Ferris, Paula T., died October 12, 2025. Born in Buffalo, she was the daughter of Weldon and Rose Shorten and sister to Daniel Shorten, all of whom preceded her in death. She married her high school sweetheart, Jerry L. Ferris Sr., whom she met at St. Mary’s School for the Deaf in Buffalo. Paula is survived by her partner, Curtis Walker; her sisters, Patti Grimble, Joanne Shorten; her children, Jerry Jr. and Natasha Ferris, Mike and Katie Ferris, and Lynda and Alexander Bulson; her grandchildren, Troy, Faith, and Riley Ferris; Bella, Norah, and Andrew Bulson; and Asher Ferris; many nieces and nephews; and her loyal dog, Max. Those who knew NaNa will remember this Bills fanatic for her warm hugs and unmistakable sass. Her strength carried her through life’s challenges with grace and humor, inspiring everyone around her to live through love.
Visitation will be observed Monday, October 20, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Fowler Funeral Home Inc., 340 West Avenue, Brockport. Interment, 2 p.m. at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Brockport. A Celebration of Life will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. at Brockport Area Veterans Club, 222 West Avenue, Brockport.
