AREA: Paulick, Barbara Ann (Barb), age 89, died August 31, 2026. Barb was born November 18, 1936, in Newark, the fifth child born to Donald and Bernice (Sherman) Col, with six siblings: Phyllis, Eleanor, Marion, Robert, William, and Paul. She was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, DuWayne (Duke) Paulick (2026). She is survived by her children, Jeffery, Theresa, and Craig; three grandchildren, Jeffrey (Evelyn) Rust, and Michael and Matthew Paulick; and one great-grandson. She spent three years in the WAF (Women of the Air Force) Band as a clarinet player. While in the Air Force, she met her future husband. They were married in 1958. When her children were out of high school, she worked for the Gates Chili Federal Credit Union for over 20 years. During all of this, her love of music never stopped – she continued playing clarinet, including performing with the Hilton-Parma Gazebo Band from 2007 through May 2019, as well as the Greece Community Orchestra. As lifelong partners, Barb and Duke traveled frequently (having experienced all 50 United States, extensive travels throughout Canada, most of Europe, Asia, and the South Pacific). They were active members of The Gates Historical Society, The Rochester Theater Organ Society, and The Western New York Postcard Club – including regular attendance at Ogden Presbyterian Church (where they participated in the Adult Choir).

BROCKPORT: Burns, Daniel T., 4/17/46 – 9/1/26. Born in Herkimer, NY. Graduate of Brockport High School (’64), History major at SUNY Brockport, Summa Cum Laude, and Simmons’ Mortuary School in Syracuse. Spent time working for his Uncle Roy at Burns-Hanna Funeral Home in Rochester; was a cook and rancher on Ossabaw Island in GA; received his teaching certification in Brazil; then taught at the American School in Asunciόn, Paraguay alongside his brother, Tom. When he returned to Brockport, he held managerial positions at Lakeside Memorial Hospital, Lakeside Beikirch Nursing Home, ServiceMaster, and Marriott Hotels. Dan and his wife, Margaret, spent much time together visiting the many American Battlefields, where he held a special interest in Gettysburg, PA. After he retired, he spent endless hours volunteering at the Emily Knapp Museum and Seymour Library in Brockport and found time to take many semesters of continuing education at SUNY Brockport.
Preceded in death by his father and mother, Thomas A. Burns and Dorothy (Klein) Burns, and sister, Ellen Coller. Survived by his wife of 31 years, Margaret Adams-Burns; brother, Thomas J. (Elena Pena Burns), sister-in-law, Carol Gillette, nieces, nephews, a slew of cousins, and many dear friends, with a special shout-out to Mark Jaccarino, who stayed close with him through the end.

CHILI: Zimmerman, Kerry E. (Dolan), November 3, 1948 – September 2, 2026. She was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Anita (Boyd) Dolan; sister, Kathy Groth (Dan); brother-in-law, Michael Zimmerman (Veronica); son-in-law, Chuck LaPaglia (Ellen). She is survived by her husband, Bill; daughters, Ellen LaPaglia and Amy (Matt) Meyer; grandchildren, Alex, Aidan, and Justin Bonacci, Melissa (Simon) Krauss, and Meghan (DJ) LaPaglia, Winnona (Brad), Rebekah (Gordon), and Isabelle Meyer; five great-grandchildren; sister, Mary (Rick) Laskowski; brother, Jim (Jen) Dolan; brothers-in-law, Dan Groth (Kathy), Bob (Kathy, Pat), Paul (Karen), Carl (Liz) and Peter (Tammy) Zimmerman; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.

CLARENDON: Kuhn, Edward G. Jr. “Butchy,” age 81, died September 7, 2026. He was born October 29, 1944, in Rochester to Edward (Sr.) and Althea (Daniels) Kuhn. In addition to his parents, Ed was predeceased by his sisters, Loretta Annechino, Bonnie Butterbaugh, and Carol Kramer, and his brother, John “Jack” Kuhn. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Kathleen; children, Diane (Kevin) Morrell, Tammy (Jeff) Spencer, Edward (Elise) Kuhn III, Kathleen (Shane) Norton; sisters, Missy (Jim) Rusin, Anna (John) Cavallaro; sister-in-law, Joanie Kuhn; brother-in-law, Don Butterbaugh; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Ed owned Edward Kuhn Delivery Service for over 35 years, and before that, he worked at Alling and Cory Paper Company in Rochester for 29 years. He loved working, mowing the lawn, gardening, and doing yard work. He enjoyed golf, cars, especially his 1968 Corvette, and was a former member of the Holley Rod and Gun Club.

HILTON: Fisher, Mary J., died July 11, 2026. Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband, David Fisher (2020); brother, Tim Perkins (2025); sister-in-law, Kay Britt (2015); and parents, Joan and William Perkins. She is survived by her daughter, Wendy Salamone, and son-in-law, Richard Sheldon; sister and best friend, Christine (Christopher) Casaccia; grandchildren, Cassidy (Dylan Ford) Salamone, William Salamone, Kailyn (Connor Smith) Sheldon, Anthony Sheldon, Hannah Yemane, and Nathan Yemane; and one great-grandson; youngest nieces and nephews, who were more like grandchildren to her: Alexander, Ronald, Kristen, Kirsten, and Jacob; brothers, William (Eileen) Perkins and Thomas (Ethel) Perkins; sister-in-law, Anne Perkins; brother-in-law, Larry Britt. She is also survived by Habteab (Saba) Yemane, David (Kristen) Fisher, Andrew Fisher, and Tim (Megan) Fisher, as well as many other beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends. After a long and successful career at the University of Rochester, Mary retired in 2022 as the Administrator for the Health Humanities & Bioethics Master’s Program. She enjoyed scrapbooking and was an enthusiastic sports fan, especially of the New York Yankees and the Buffalo Bills. A lover of animals and an avid gardener, Mary took great pride in her beautiful flower gardens. She was also an accomplished dancer who spent many joyful years square dancing and round dancing with her husband, David. Though her life was marked by health challenges beyond her control, Mary fought courageously for every day she could spend with her family and friends. She was often heard saying, “I’m fine. It’s fine. Everything is fine.” Through it all, she remained strong and grounded in her faith. Her resilience, strength, and determination inspired everyone who knew her.

HILTON: Hinzman, Ronald P. “Chance,” died September 6, 2026, at age 71. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Patricia Hinzman; sister, Kim Hinzman; sister-in-law, Candy Hinzman; stepdaughter, Summer Thornton; and loyal dog, “Bear.” He is survived by his children, Kimberly Colley, Jessica DiPasquale, Ronnie Hinzman Jr., and their siblings, Sarah (Evan) Grieve and Amy (Jeff Berends) Thornton; grandchildren, Skyla, Mikayla, Karenna, Alonzo, and Cruz; brothers and sisters, Cheryl Hobbs, Charlene Griner, Gary Hinzman, and Dennis Hinzman; great friends, Eddie and Robbie; and several nieces and nephews. Chance was a longtime member of the Hilton community and was employed by Christ Paving in Hilton. Known for his quick wit and great sense of humor, Chance could always be counted on for a good laugh and a memorable conversation. A devoted Pittsburgh Steelers fan, Chance enjoyed cheering on his team and sharing his love of football with family and friends.

HOLLEY: Carrozzi, Joseph L., died September 5, 2026, at age 61. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Betty (Annechino) Carrozzi. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Michelle Carrozzi; children, Nicholas (Courtney) Carrozzi and Tiffany (Anthony) Starnino; grandchildren, Luca and Vivianna; sister, Rose (Angelo) Ferrara; and several nieces, nephews, and many friends. Joe spent many years in the plumbing and pipefitting trade. He was employed by Ferrauilo Heating and Plumbing within the Local 13 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union of Rochester. In his leisure time, Joe enjoyed the outdoors and life’s simple pleasures. He loved boating and hunting and especially enjoyed traveling with his family, with Cape Coral holding a special place in his heart as a second home. A loyal Buffalo Bills fan, Joe enjoyed cheering on his team and sharing in the excitement of game day.

HOLLEY: Gurzynski, Francis J., age 83, died August 31, 2026. He was born November 11, 1942, in Albion to the late Frank and Isabelle (Lewandowski) Gurzynski. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sharon; son, David (Kimberly) Gurzynski of GA; daughter, Karen (Ted) Howard of Medina; brother, Robert (Cheryl) Gurzynski of Albion; sister, Diane (Paul) Urban of Tonawanda; grandchildren, Macy Lee Gurzynski, Gia Grace Howard, Arianna Rose, and Cole Xavier Gurzynski; and several nieces and nephews. Frank was a U.S. Air Force veteran who served during the Vietnam War era and was a member of the Holley VFW. He was a member of the Brockport Free Methodist Church, where he served as head usher and was a staple of many church activities. Following retirement from Eastman Kodak Company, Frank worked at the Brockport Walmart. He enjoyed fishing, working in the yard, and playing Mr. Fix-it as a general handyman around the house.

SPENCERPORT: Mantegna, Linda Dardenne, died August 31, 2026. She was born September 19, 1948, to Bob and Sis (Benedict) Dardenne. She is survived by her parents; the love of her life, Gerald (Buzz) Mantegna; children and grandchildren, Dave and Kim, Joshua, Aaron, and Rebecca Mantegna; Julie and Craig, Caleb, Sydney, Elijah, and Isaac Bailey; Tracey and Dave, Taylor, Kendall, Katie, Josie, Silas, and Tessa Chappell; Chris and Julie, Ava, Eliza, Annie, and Luke Mantegna; siblings, Bob (Deb) Dardenne, Chris (Veronica Miller) Dardenne, Mery Dardenne (Dick) McEvoy, Pat Dardenne (Curt) Sprentall; father- and mother-in-law, Joe and Rose Mantegna; brother- and sisters-in-law, Joe (Vee) Mantegna, Carol Mantegna Schubert (Mike), and Marilyn Mantegna Princehorn; and many nieces and nephews.
