College Admission Information Night at Hilton HS March 4

Hilton High School will be hosting the College Admission Information Night on Tuesday, March 4 at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium, 400 East Avenue, Hilton. Students in grades 8 through 11 and their parents are invited to learn more about the college process and how to start preparing for college now.

Representatives from Alfred State College, Binghamton University, Bryant & Stratton College, Monroe Community College, Nazareth College, The College at Brockport and University at Buffalo will be on hand to review transcripts and answer questions.

The evening also will include a panel discussion and breakout sessions on the following:
•Special talents/portfolio requirements/auditions requirements
•How to choose a college major
•ABCs of the application process
•Writing the college essay/personal statement – do’s and don’ts
•IB/AP/Dual Credit – how is it reviewed?
•ACT/SAT/Test Optional – do I need to take these tests?
•IEP? 504? How do I disclose to a college?
