Hilton School-Related Professionals donate $500 to Hilton Food Shelf
Hilton School District’s School-Related Professionals (SRPs) donate to a worthy cause every holiday season. But this year, they decided to make a donation at a time when many philanthropic organizations, like the Hilton Food Shelf, are beginning to run low on supplies and funds. “Organizations receive so much support during the holidays that we thought we would make a donation when it’s needed most,” said Kathy Najder, teaching assistant.
The Hilton Parma Emergency Food Shelf’s mission is to obtain, sort, store and distribute donated and purchased food to residents of the Hilton School District who are in an emergency situation and needing food. Currently, they have an urgent need for grocery items, household supplies, personal care items and monetary donations. There are drop boxes located in the Village of Hilton at the Hilton Community Center, 59 Henry Street; Parma Public Library, 7 West Avenue; and Monroe Tech, 53 South Avenue.
