The New York State School Boards Association (NYSSBA) has recognized Hilton Board of Education members Michelle Ames and Barbara Cutrona with the Board Mastery Award – Level 3.
In order to receive the Level 3 Award, board members must earn at least 250 points in the School Board U Recognition Program, which acknowledges the time and effort required of school board members who continually strive to expand their knowledge and skills for better board governance.
NYSSBA members earn credits for participating in School Board U training opportunities, such as the New Member Academy, Board Officers Academy, NYSSBA Annual Convention, legal conferences, regional workshops and district level custom improvement programs.
Ames has served on the board since 2007 and Cutrona has served since 2004.
