The Northwood Elementary School Advanced Band placed first in the Class A Concert Band Division at the Darien Lake Music Festival Competition on May 10.
Northwood also earned the “Outstanding with Distinction” Award, which is awarded to bands scoring 92 percent and above.
Northwood received a score of 92.35.
The Northwood Advanced Band is comprised of students in the fifth and sixth grades, and is directed by Hilton CSD music teacher Tim Stodd.
