Four students from Canal View School in Spencerport were winners of the Erie Canal Essay Contest.
The contest is an annual event sponsored by the Spencerport Area Chamber of Commerce and the Spencerport Depot and Canal Museum.
Awards were presented June 8 at the Grand Opening weekend at the Depot, also in conjunction with the Pathway through History weekends being held throughout New York State.
