Hilton High School will be performing the musical “The Sound of Music” on Friday and Saturday, November 14 and 15 and 21 and 22 at 7:30 p.m.; and Sunday, November 23 at 2 p.m. in the Hilton High School auditorium, 400 East Avenue, Hilton.
“The Sound of Music” (1959) features music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II and is based on the memoir of Maria von Trapp, The Story of the Trapp Family Singers. Many songs from the musical have become standards, such as “Edelweiss,” “My Favorite Things,” “Climb Ev’ry Mountain,” “Do-Re-Mi” and the title song, “The Sound of Music.”
Reserved seating tickets are $10 and available throughwww.hiltontheatre.org or at the Hilton High School Box Office weekdays from 12 noon to 2 p.m. Limited tickets will be available at the door.
