The Grand Opening of the Holley District Fitness Center, located in the Holley Elementary School is Monday, December 1 from 6-7:30 p.m.
The Fitness Center was made possible through the Carol M. White Physical Education Program (PEP) Grant. The district qualified for almost $800,000 of federal funding to promote good nutrition and physical exercise among the students, staff and district families.
The Fitness Center will be open for family fitness activities on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6 to 8 p.m. Trained supervisors will be on duty during family fitness times to assist participants and to promote a safe and orderly environment in which to work out.
The following fitness equipment will be available for use: Virtual Reality Bikes, Gaming Bikes, Interactive Life Fitness Treadmills, I Dance, Cross Trainer, Weight Bench, Upper Body Ergometer, Adaptive Motion Trainer.
