Michael Bourne has been the BCSD Coordinator of Inclusive Education and chairman of the District Committee on Special Education since 2013. He is trained in Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and has played an active role in aligning best instructional practices and professional development opportunities. “I’m looking forward to getting back to my roots as a teacher and coach,” he said. “Working directly with students on a daily basis and forming meaningful connections will be a great opportunity.”

Michelle Guerrieri has been with the District since 2001, first as an Inclusive Education teacher at the High School, more recently as the K-12 Instructional Specialist for Inclusive Education. “I believe in the ability and potential of our students, and have high expectations for myself and all the professionals in our schools,” she said. “Working collaboratively, we can move the District’s strategic plan forward, and help students develop a passion to be the best they can be.”

Paulette Reddick comes to the district with almost 20 years in the education field: as an elementary school Special Education teacher in the Rochester City School District, the Assistant Director for Horizons at the Harley School (grades K-8), a Professional Development Specialist for Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES and then Special Education Supervisor/Principal at the Alternative High School, Preschool, and Career Skills Center, and finally as Coordinating Administrator of Special Education for the Rochester CSD. “I embrace opportunities to develop strong relationships and have ongoing conversations with parents, guardians, community members, teachers and staff,” Reddick said. “Communication is key in supporting student achievement.”

“We are pleased to welcome Paulette to Brockport, and to see Michael and Michelle advance in their careers with our District,” said Superintendent Lesli C. Myers. “Our priority is developing, supporting and retaining the very best teachers, administrators and staff. I want to thank everyone who has played a role in this year’s hiring process, along with the staff who work so hard to keep our professional development opportunities robust. Without their input and support, we would not have been able to find and keep such great candidates.”
