Brockport Hill School staff recognized on Employee Appreciation Day

A group of students brightened the day for staff at Hill Elementary School in honor of Employee Appreciation Day March 4. Students in Carrie McKain’s BOCES 6:1:1 class at Hill wanted to show their gratitude for all that the school offers, so they decided to do so with flowers.

McKain’s class teamed up with students in Mercy Caparco’s BOCES 6:1:1 class to hand deliver a flower accompanied by a message reading, “People like you help Hill students bloom!” to each teacher and staff member at Hill.

All students also had the opportunity to purchase special vouchers from the school store for one dollar each to acknowledge staff members who positively impact their day. Each voucher included a personal note of appreciation along with a treat. The 6:1:1 classes hand delivered those vouchers and treats in addition to the flowers.

A special thanks to Wegmans for donating money towards the flowers.
