The Northwood Elementary School (Hilton School District) Advanced Band placed first in the Darien Lake Music Festival Competition on May 7.
Northwood received a score of 97.25, which also earned the ensemble the “Outstanding with Distinction” Award – the highest level of recognition. Nineteen high school, middle school and elementary school ensembles representing nine school districts competed in the event. The Northwood Elementary School Advanced Band is under the direction of music teacher Tim Stodd.
