The Spencerport Board of Education will have three seats up for election this year. The three-year terms, currently held by Jody Gillette, David Gibbardo and Kate Czarnecki, will begin on July 1 and end on June 30, 2020.
The primary duties of the board are to develop the broader, long-range goals and policies, which determine the basic framework for the educational programs, services and facilities to be offered to the youth of the community.
Interested candidates are encouraged to contact the Spencerport Board Clerk’s Office to obtain a packet of information, which includes all the petition requirements, deadlines, etc., by calling 349-5101 or by stopping in at the District Clerk’s office, 71 Lyell Avenue, Spencerport. Petitions for Board of Education candidates, signed by at least 29 qualified school voters of the district, must be submitted by April 17 at 4 p.m.
