Spencerport Central School District students from Munn and Taylor Elementary Schools competed once again in the 10th annual Page Turners Tournament on March 21.
Twenty-four students from Munn and 36 students from Taylor participated in the challenge, which required reading six books, starting in January, and writing two questions for each. Those questions were then used in the tournaments. Participating students competed first in a building competition with the first-place team advancing to compete in the final tournament held at Taylor.
Both teams proved to be well prepared as evidenced by how close the score came this year – 22 to 21. While Munn was the reigning 2016 champion, Taylor won this year and now has the Page Turners trophy.
Teams and members include: Team Taylor – Captain Vincent Acciaio, Mike Chinappi, Iris Clements, Hannah Prince, Declan Switzer and Paige Burress; Team Munn – Captain Yuop Tuach, Sarah Maloney, Shawn Ayers and Delilah Rogers.
