Three finalists selected in Spencerport school superintendent search

The Spencerport Central School District Board of Education has chosen three finalists for the district’s next top administrator. The finalists are:

•Dr. Richard Hughes – Superintendent, Central Valley Central School District

•Mr. Daniel Milgate – Assistant Superintendent of Schools, Spencerport Central School District

•Mrs. Carol Stehm – Associate Superintendent for Instruction, Gates Chili Central School District

“On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank our neighbors in the Spencerport community and the district staff for responding to the survey about the attributes they would like to see in a new school superintendent,” said Board President Gary Bracken. “Now I encourage everyone to take advantage of the opportunity to meet these three experienced educators at the upcoming Meet the Finalist forums.”

“The members of the Spencerport Board of Education have been diligent in their research and thoughtful in their deliberations during this process,” said Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES District Superintendent and Search Consultant Jo Anne Antonacci. “The Spencerport Board remains committed to selecting a superintendent who will carry on the tradition of educating and inspiring each student to love learning and pursue excellence.”

The three finalists are scheduled for individual day-long school visits that include a Meet the Finalist community forum from 4:30 to 6 p.m. in the Spencerport High School Performing Arts Center (PAC), 2707 Spencerport Road. The forums will give staff and community members the opportunity to meet each candidate, ask questions, and submit feedback forms to the board. The schedule is as follows:

•Monday, April 10: Mr. Daniel Milgate

•Tuesday, April 11: Mrs. Carol Stehm

•Wednesday, April 12: Dr. Richard Hughes
