Hilton CSD school budget vote and board election results
The Hilton Central School District 2017-18 School Budget was approved by district residents with 760 in favor and 190 opposed. The $80,875,790 plan for the 2017-18 school year is a 1.12 percent increase over last year’s budget. The Board of Education sets the tax rate in August.
In addition to the budget proposition, district residents approved a $1,151,162 bus purchase proposition with a vote of 756 in favor and 192 opposed.
Elected to the two open seats on the Board of Education are incumbent Maryanne Chaffee with 801 votes and Brian O’Connor with 790 votes. They will begin serving three-year terms of office on July 1.
