Spencerport’s Maple SugarFest
The Spencerport Central School District Nature Center will host its annual Maple SugarFest on Saturday, March 3, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The event will include indoor and outdoor activities, including free crafts and activities for children, create-your-own bird feeder, geocaching, nature-touch table, sap boiling and tree-tapping demonstrations.
The pancake breakfast runs from 9 to 10 a.m. at the high school’s east cafeteria. Cost of the breakfast remains $5 per person and free for children five and under. Tickets may be purchased at the door and donations are welcomed.
Proceeds from the breakfast, along with any donations, fund the nature center’s DEC Summer Camp Scholarship program and the instructional pavilion. More information and an event schedule for the Maple SugarFest may be found at http://www.spencerportschools.org
