Driver Education Training available at Spencerport High School
Are you interested in extra income and currently have a secondary NYS teaching certificate? Then you may want to consider becoming a NYS Driver Education instructor. Almost all school districts throughout Monroe County, including Hilton, are in need of instructors. Training will be available this spring in the Spencerport School District through SUNY Broome Community College.
Registration for the first course is currently open. For registration information, email BCCDRIVERED@aol.com or call 607-722-4687 after 7 p.m. and ask for Jane Townsend.
Four courses are required to become permanently certified:
•Traffic Safety 1: April 9 through 13, ($1350) Online
•Traffic Safety 2: April 21 and 22, May 5 and 6, May 19 and 20, June 2 and 3; approximately 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ($1,350) Spencerport High School
•Risk Management: Fall 2018, ($800) Online
•Problems and Trends: Winter 2018, ($1350) Class location TBD
Participants must have access to a computer for online assignments and a working knowledge of Word, Powerpoint, Internet browsing and email access. Students also must be able to attend all weekend classes for Traffic Safety 2.
