The Spencerport Alumni Association invites all Ranger alum to mark their calendars for the Annual Alumni Banquet taking place Friday, June 5, 2020. This event offers a way to reconnect with old friends and make new ones.
“The Alumni Association is a great way to connect with other graduates and give back by supporting current students with scholarships,” JoAnne Maier, an association officer, said. “We have members as far back as 1949, and it’s wonderful how all the different classes learn and share Spencerport memories with each other.”
In addition to the Alumni Banquet, there is still time to RSVP for “Soup with the Superintendent.” Superintendent Dan Milgate is hosting monthly luncheons coordinated by graduation year – January 22 for Classes of 1980 to 1989, February 12 for Classes of 1990 to 1999, March 11 for Classes of 2000 to 2009, and April 15 for Classes of 2010 to 2019. This initiative is designed to reengage alumni with the district and build upon the work of the Alumni Association. All interested alum should RSVP to Mary Clapper at mclapper@spencerportschools.org.
A recent survey of district alumni indicated that 70 percent of respondents did not know that Spencerport has an Alumni Association, however, 85 percent of alumni are still in contact with other alum. Anyone interested in joining the Spencerport Alumni Association should contact JoAnne Maier at 352-1287 for information.
