Dr. Deb Leh, Superintendent of Wheatland-Chili Central School District, will retire in June 2020, at the conclusion of the school year.

In her over 30 years in education, she has served as a business teacher, the Assistant Superintendent of Student Learning at Clarkstown Central School District, and the Assistant Superintendent of Instruction at the Greece Central School District. In addition, she taught in the community education and business management programs at Nazareth College as an adjunct professor; was the Coordinator of Work Experience and Alternative Education; and the Supervisor of Vocational Education for the Genesee Valley Education Partnership BOCES.

“Over my nearly nine years in the Wheatland-Chili Central School District, we have done so much to build on the great work of previous superintendents and staff members to help move the District forward,” said Leh in a message to staff. “You have all been a part of this forward movement, and I thank you deeply. I am privileged to have spent these years with such a talented and caring group of individuals.”

Board of Education President James Musshafen said at the February 10 Board of Education Meeting, “Thank you for everything you’ve done for the District. We wish you well on your journey ahead.”

Dr. Leh plans to travel and spend time with her family while considering ways to support the greater community in some different ways.
