The seven-member Hilton Board of Education will have two open seats on the May 19 ballot. Voters will select two board members to serve three-year terms (the seats currently held by Maryanne Chaffee and Brian O’Connor).
To become a board candidate, obtain a nominating petition from District Clerk Julie Norris in District Office, 225 West Avenue, Hilton. The petitions will be available in late March. The completed petition must be filed with Mrs. Norris by 5 p.m. on Monday, April 20.
To be a board candidate, one must be a Hilton School District resident for at least one year prior to the election and a qualified voter. For information, contact Mrs. Norris at 392-1000, ext. 7099.
