Aquinas seniors celebrated during pandemic

Aquinas Institute President Dr. Anthony Cook, Principal Ted Mancini, Athletic Director Anthony Bianchi, and other administrators honored their seniors on Saturday, April 11, with a surprise visit and special yard sign honoring them.

“We felt as though this was a small token of appreciation we could do for our seniors while still adhering to the proper social distancing recommendations,” said Dr. Cook.  The administrators divided up the list of seniors and made special surprise visits including the gift of a yard sign in Aquinas colors that read, “Proud Home of an Aquinas Senior.”

Faculty members maintained appropriate social distancing but were able to celebrate their seniors with this special effort. “We miss all of our students, but our hearts break for our seniors. We let them know that we are thinking about them and that we are committed to making their senior year special, the best that we can,” said Cook.

According to Dr. Cook, “It was an easy decision for us as an administration, because we all feel that the Aquinas community is special. We know our families appreciate this, but what they need to understand is that this also means so much to us to be able to do this for them.”
