After attending Tech Wars at Genesee Community College for the last three years, Kendall senior Becca Banker was anticipating fierce competition for her fourth year of participation. She has received first and second place plaques for her participation in past competitions.
The annual event typically draws hundreds of students from Genesee, Livingston, Orleans and Wyoming counties. Although the 2020 Tech Wars competition was canceled this year, the Tech Wars administrative team and sponsors still honored its most dedicated students.
Becca was awarded one of two Tech Wars Scholarships because of her commitment to technology, problem-solving abilities, and demonstration of the true spirit of Tech Wars. Becca is the first Kendall student to be honored with this distinction.
