Spencerport Central Schools and community members unite for the common good

It is difficult to find the right words to appropriately thank Dan Milgate, Superintendent of Spencerport Schools, the staff of Spencerport Central School District, the local participating restaurants, the generous community donors (individuals, churches, and businesses), and all the volunteers associated with the #SpencerportTogether program. This program was the brainchild of Dan Milgate. He wanted to find a way to help the children and families in our district during this pandemic. He was able to achieve that vision through the help and support of all of you.

The Spencerport community is truly incredible. Seeing the faces of the meal recipients, talking to restaurant owners, and receiving communications from donors; I realized just how many were positively impacted by this program. It not only fed meals to people, it fed business to local restaurants, and provided many with the ability to feel useful in a very challenging time. Everyone pitched in and worked together for the common good. I have always been proud to be a Spencerport resident, and never more so than at this moment in time. From the bottom of my heart, thank you all for the unwavering generosity, kindness, and support you have showered upon each other.

While this pandemic has been unlike anything most of us have ever experienced, I would say that the positive reaction this community had to it was just as epic. Spencerport Education Foundation, Inc. has been proud to sponsor #SpencerportTogether. Please know that with the ongoing support from people like you, the foundation will be able to continue its partnership with the district in providing assistance with creative and innovative programs. Together, we truly can do amazing things. Thank you.
