Two Brockport teachers receive donations to support education projects

To recognize the entrepreneurial spirit driving teachers to meet their students’ distance learning needs during this challenging time, SONIC® Drive-In matched donations to public school teacher requests on DonorsChoose during Teacher Appreciation Day – Tuesday, May 5. Two teachers at Brockport’s Barclay Elementary School received a total donation of $135 from SONIC® through the Limeades for Learning® initiative.

Bridget Quigley’s project, “Simple Machine Sets for Third Graders,” sought funds to purchase machine sets to provide hands-on activities for her students. These sets are to help students build their understanding and keep them engaged.

Kristina Kirchgraber’s project, “Diverse Books Are Mirrors and Windows for Children,” sought funds to purchase diverse books for her classroom that teach about other people and help to promote respect and understanding of different types of people and cultures.

Both of these projects have now received full funding through various donations.
