Diversity Scholar Program open to law students

Ward Greenberg Heller & Reidy LLP, a law firm focused on civil litigation with offices in New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and New Jersey, is now accepting applications for the firm’s 2021 Diversity Scholar Program. As part of the firm’s ongoing commitment to diversity, Ward Greenberg actively recruits candidates with diverse backgrounds and perspectives to foster an inclusive workplace, including through this nationally recognized program, now in its sixth year.

The Diversity Scholar Program offers law students the opportunity to participate in a 10-week paid summer appointment in the firm’s Rochester or Philadelphia offices and receive a $7,500 bonus upon successful completion of the program. During that appointment, selected scholars will also have the opportunity to participate in a secondment with an institutional client (prevailing COVID restrictions permitting) and will be a primary candidate for a summer associate position the following year, which includes eligibility for an additional $10,000 bonus.

Applicants must be in their first year of study at an ABA-accredited law school, demonstrate academic and leadership achievements, and possess a strong desire to practice at a sophisticated litigation firm and contribute to its diversity objectives. While there are no other restrictions on eligibility, students from historically underrepresented populations in the legal profession are encouraged to apply.

Visit https://www.wardgreenberg.com/about#company-diversity for an application. Completed applications must be submitted electronically to diversity@wardgreenberg.com by January 15, 2021. The 2021 Scholars will be announced on January 29, 2021.
