Churchville-Chili Board adopts 2021-22 proposed budget

At its April 13 Board of Education meeting, the Churchville-Chili Board of Education adopted the proposed budget of $91,602,093 for the 2021-22 school year. The proposed budget reflects a budget-to-budget increase of 3.54 percent. This would mean a 2.00 percent increase in the tax levy, which is below the district’s levy cap of 2.66 percent. The tax rates for individual homeowners will vary based on their town’s equalization rate. The Proposed Budget will now be put before the community for a vote on May 18, 2021, from noon to 9 p.m. at the Middle School Gym C, Door 35.

The second proposition on the ballot will be the purchase of six buses at a cost not to exceed $800,000.

The Public Hearing for the Proposed Budget will be held at 7 p.m. on May 4 at the open board meeting in the Board of Education Meeting Room in the Administration Building. It will be streamed live on the District Facebook Channel and there will be an opportunity for community members to submit questions at the end of the presentation.

Community members will also be able to watch the recording of the presentation any time after May 7 on YouTube.
