Byron-Bergen appoints new Jr./Sr. High School assistant principal

The Byron-Bergen Central School District Board of Education has approved Morgan Marcello as the new Jr./Sr. High School assistant principal. Prior to this appointment, she worked for the Kendall Central School District where she taught social studies and special education, coached volleyball, basketball, and softball, and served as student council advisor for the past eight years.

“The administrative team, as well as the teachers and staff I’ve met so far have been welcoming, kind, and show clear evidence of being dedicated, passionate educators; it would be impossible to not be excited to be joining them,” said Marcello. “I can already sense that community and school pride run strong in Byron-Bergen, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to be a part of that.”

Marcello earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Secondary Social Studies and Special Education from Keuka College in 2011, a Master of Science Degree in Literacy (grades 5-12) from Keuka College in 2012, and a Post Master’s Certification in Educational Leadership from Stony Brook University in 2021.

“Mrs. Marcello is an excellent addition to the administrative team at Byron-Bergen,” said Jr./Sr. High School Principal Ashley Grillo. “I am looking forward to working closely with her as we strive to achieve our goals for the upcoming school year.”

Marcello’s appointment was approved by the Board of Education on Thursday, August 5.
