William Spear, a sophomore and trumpet player at Hilton High School, was selected in spring 2021 to participate in the Rochester Philharmonic Youth Orchestra’s (RPYO) 2021-22 season, which began in September.
The orchestra provides advanced music students orchestral performance and RPO mentorship opportunities. “RPYO recognizes that Hilton Schools have fostered the musical journey of this student,” said Irene Narotsky, Rochester Philharmonic Youth Orchestra manager. “We greatly appreciate your support, encouragement, and education, which has helped students reach such high levels of musicianship.”
This season, the orchestra is fully in-person and celebrating this year’s tagline of “No More Distancing From Our Music!”
RPYO will be performing three concerts: Sunday, November 14, 2021, 7:30 p.m. at Hochstein Performance Hall; Sunday, March 6, 2022, 3 p.m. at Auditorium Theater – RPYO and RPO perform together; Sunday, May 8, 2022, 8 p.m. at Hochstein Performance Hall.
