Hilton class learns about justice from deputy attorney

On October 22, Brian Green, a Monroe County Deputy Attorney and former Assistant District Attorney, spoke with Michael Billotti’s eighth-grade English class at Merton Williams Middle School as part of their Beyond a Reasonable Doubt unit. This unit uses the classic American play “Twelve Angry Men” to analyze the topic of justice. Mr. Green discussed his experiences as a prosecutor and answered students’ questions about the profession. He also helped students make connections to the play by talking through the specific details of the play’s case, examining circumstantial evidence and the potential limitations of witness testimony.
