Churchville-Chili High School sophomore Jonathan Raplee has been chosen to receive the Rochester Police Department’s Do the Right Thing Award. Jonathan was home alone with his grandmother last October when a fire started. He stayed calm and got her safely out of danger. Their home was destroyed, but Jonathan’s brave action kept his family together.
Jonathan will be celebrated in a virtual ceremony that will be streamed on Facebook Live on March 10 at 10:30 a.m. The Do the Right Thing program recognizes the outstanding youth in our community who become role models for their peers by “doing the right thing.”
