Brockport HS to perform Cinderella
Brockport High School’s Drama Club will perform Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Broadway production of Cinderella on March 17, 18, and 19 at 7 p.m. and March 20 at 2 p.m. at the Brockport HS Auditorium.
Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella is a musical that is derived from the fairy tale Cinderella, particularly the French version. A young woman forced into a life of servitude by her cruel stepmother dreams of a better life. With the help of her fairy godmother, Cinderella is transformed into an elegant young lady and is able to attend the ball to meet her prince. In this version, however, she opens the prince’s eyes to the injustice in his kingdom.
Leading the cast are seniors Maya Benzan, Greta Hall, Zach Thomas, Avery Williams and juniors Sonni Amoroso, Cole Mesiti, Ella Wallis, Rylee Pierce, Bella Viola, and Brennan Kuhn.
