During their February 28 board meeting, the Brockport Board of Education presented the PTSA with the Brockport’s Best Award in recognition of their on-going support and dedication. Accepting the award on behalf of the organization were PTSA Board members Kristy Hart, President; Tricia White, Vice President; Jaime Piedmonte-Bennett, Recording Secretary and Co-Treasurer; and Jessica Harris, Corresponding Secretary and Co-Treasurer.
The Brockport PTSA puts in endless hours supporting the district’s students, staff, and families. They run fundraising events, the Parents as Reading Partners Program, Scholastic Book Fairs, numerous building activities and events, and staff appreciation days.
An excerpt from the Brockport’s Best nomination includes: “Among the many valuable services to BCSD is pushing out information regarding District activities and providing clarification when a community member expresses confusion on social media. In doing so, our community is better informed, and the successes of our district are better understood.”
