Swan Song student art exhibition

Each year, SUNY Brockport presents an annual student art exhibition, allowing viewers to see work created by current students. This year’s exhibition, Swan Song, will be on display from March 25 to April 13 at the Tower Fine Arts Gallery at 180 Holley Street, Brockport. An opening reception will take place at 5 p.m. on March 25, with an awards ceremony at 6 p.m. The exhibit is free and open to the public. Gallery hours for this exhibition are Monday through Friday, noon to 5 p.m., and Sunday, 1 to 4 p.m.

The juror for this year’s exhibition was Katarina Riesing, Associate Professor of Art, Alfred University.

Swan Song features a wide variety of media representing the culmination of the year’s work by Brockport’s students, including drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, and ceramics. Gallery director Timothy Massey states, “This is the pinnacle of our exhibition season; everyone in the art department looks forward to this exhibition as we celebrate our current students’ successes.”  The exhibition is developed and organized by the Tower Fine Arts Gallery assistants.
