Randall Yu named Ginther principal
Brockport Central School District recently selected Randall Yu as the next principal for Ginther Elementary School. The Board of Education appointed Yu during the April 26 Board meeting effective July 1. Yu will be replacing Principal Debra Waye who is retiring at the end of June.

He was hired in 2012 as an elementary teacher at Hill School, where he taught for nine years, and he has served as Ginther’s Assistant Principal since August of 2021. Yu also served as Brockport’s new teacher mentor, the grade 5 Math leader/facilitator, the elementary Math/Science curriculum and assessment writer, and he has been a varsity football coach since 2010.
Mr. Yu has a Master’s in Arts in Childhood Literacy from SUNY Brockport, a Bachelor’s of Science in Childhood Education from SUNY Buffalo, and he recently completed his NYS School Building Leader/School District Leader certification with SUNY Brockport.
“Randall’s proven ability to lead data-driven instruction and build positive relationships with all stakeholders are just a few of his many strengths that will help him to be successful in this new role,” said Superintendent Sean Bruno. “We are excited that one of our own exceptional leaders will be taking on this position.”
