Hilton celebrates 123 graduating classes with new Hilton Alumni Association

The new Hilton Alumni Association, together with the Parma Hilton Historical Society, has created a through-the-years history of Hilton Central Schools with photos and memorabilia in the front window of the Parma Public Library, 7 West Avenue, Hilton. The display celebrating 123 graduating classes is the first major project undertaken by the new Hilton Alumni Association and will be on display until July 11. After that date, an abridged version will be on display in the lobby of Hilton High School until Homecoming Weekend in the fall.

Learn about Jennie Mitchell, the first (and only) graduate in Hilton’s Class of 1898. Last month, the new Alumni Association welcomed 240 new members from the Class of 2022, as they became Hilton’s newest and youngest alumni on graduation day.

The HAA was established to carry out the vision of a Hilton graduate from the Class of 1970 who wanted to honor the school district and educators who prepared him well for college-level study. A group of Hilton’s alumni, friends, and businesses came together to bring that vision to life. Registration for membership is free, and all are welcome to join to help support Hilton schools

The Alumni Association will raise funds to provide:

•Grants for teachers and other school professionals to fund a wide range of school projects that are not covered by the District budget or other means.  A grant might include financial support for a classroom library, a special art project, a guest speaker, or any school-related proposal that is approved by the HAA Board of Directors.

•Future scholarships to graduating seniors.

•Volunteer opportunities in support of the Hilton community and schools.

•A pathway to help alumni reconnect with their high school classmates.

•Information about HAA’s upcoming fundraising events.

•A recurring electronic newsletter to keep members informed about all of the above.

Visit www.hiltonalumniassociation.org to find information about HAA’s Board of Directors and the Association itself. All alumni, friends, and local businesses are welcome to join. Register for free on the website and indicate how you would like to help HAA support Hilton schools and build the community.
