Spencerport voters approve capital project
Spencerport Central School District voters have approved the 2022 capital improvement project, with a total of 365 residents casting their ballots. There were 292 in favor (80%) and 73 opposed (20%).
“I want to thank voters for your continued support of the Spencerport Central School District,” Superintendent Kristin Swann said. “We appreciate your confidence in our planning process and your support of our vision for the district’s facilities. We now look forward to making this plan come to fruition.”
Next steps will include beginning the design phase for the $23.4 million project, followed by submission of plans to the New York State Education Department for review and approval. Construction is slated to begin in spring of 2024.
