Monroe County teachers of grades K-8 are invited to attend a free Dairy in the Classroom Educator Workshop on Wednesday, August 9, from 8 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. at Springdale Farm’s Balcony Point and Riedman Robotic Milking Center, 700 Colby Street, Spencerport. The workshop is presented by the New York State Ag in the Classroom Program and Monroe County 4-H Educators.
Teachers will make the connection from dairy to the classroom during this hands-on experience that includes a farm tour and cheesemaking. The workshop is free to educators, includes breakfast and lunch, and a resource bundle for teachers to use in their classrooms. Participants will also receive six CTLE credits for attending.
