WBSU announces Hall of Fame Class of 2024

WBSU at SUNY Brockport has announced the slate of inductees as the Class of 2024 into the WBSU Hall of Fame:
Mitch Cohen (Class of 1978) – former Sports Director and continuous supporter of the station. Regular organizer and host of reunion activities in Brockport and New York City. Started the successful call-in trivia show Sportsline in the 70s.
Nancy Logan (Class of 1979) – Director of Corporate Relations and Philanthropy at Look Good Feel Better Foundation in Vienna, Virginia, since 2015. Was elected to two consecutive terms as President of American Women in Radio & TV. Over seven years as Senior Director, Sales & Marketing, Media Licensing at Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI). Also, two years as Western Sales Manager for Broadcasting & Cable Magazine and six years as Marketing and Advertising Manager-West for TV Guide.
Mark Devine (Class of 1982) – long career as one of the top morning shows in Phoenix with KDKB (1989-2005) and KLSX (2015-2023). Raised money for homeless veterans housing and for the Glenn Frey statue in Winslow, AZ. Previously worked at WCGR (Canandaigua), WRKI (Danbury, CT,) WZZO (Allentown, PA), and WGRX (Baltimore, MD).
Joe Torres (Class of 1985) – street reporter for WABC-TV, NYC and weekend anchor since 1996. Also serves as Host of Tiempo, a 30-minute public affairs program aimed at the Latino population. Won a Peabody Award and the Edward R. Murrow Award for his reports on the world-changing events of September 11th and an Emmy Award for his coverage of the Greenpoint Gas Tank Implosions in 2001. Started his career at WSAV-TV in Savannah, GA, before moving to ABC affiliate WNEP-TV in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, PA, and WPVI-TV in Philadelphia.
Dan Connelly (Class of 1996) – Director of Branding & Programming for 97x in Tampa since 2014. Also Marketing & Event Manager 1999-2014. Promotion Director at WWHT in Syracuse 1998-1999. Promotion Director for Cox Media Group in Tampa 1999-2014. Helped launch WSUN in November 2000. WSUN was a 2014 Marconi Award Nominee and 2015 Crystal Award Nominee.
Casey Bortnick (Class of 2001) – anchor for Spectrum News in Rochester, Buffalo and Albany since 2012. Has won three RTDNA Regional Edward R. Murrow awards and two New York Associated Press Broadcasters awards. Previously with Spectrum Jamestown where he covered the five-month manhunt for fugitive Ralph “Bucky” Phillips.

Induction ceremonies will be held Saturday, April 20, 2024 in the New York Room in Cooper Hall on campus.
