SUNY Brockport announces the newest Foundation board members
SUNY Brockport’s Foundation Board of Directors welcomed new members on October 6 over Homecoming & Family Weekend, when it accepted nominations for Melissa Hawryschuk ’00 and Althea Ceasor ’88. Both Hawryschuk and Ceasor bring knowledge from the financial sector to the Foundation.
Hawryschuk is the CEO of Brighton Securities Holding, Inc., and has been a member of their Board of Directors since 2021. She has led large, diverse teams for global banking institutions including Citizens Bank and Bank of America. Hawryschuk spent seven years as the senior vice president, client management executive in preferred banking for Bank of America. Additionally, she supports Brockport’s School of Business & Management as a member of their Advisory Board.
Ceasor ’88 is the Vice President & Private Client Manager for Bank of America Private Bank, where she serves the needs of high-net-worth individuals, families, and foundations across the country. Previously, she was the Vice President and Senior Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch Global Wealth and Investment Management (GWIM). Ceasor experienced many firsts during her time at Brockport, including the first in her family to go to college, the first female president of the Earth Sciences club, and the first African American woman to major in Meteorology. She credits Brockport for where she is professionally in guiding her to a servant-leader mindset. Ceasor is based in Boca Raton, Florida.
The Brockport Foundation Board of Directors is comprised of volunteers from around the nation. These successful professionals, from a wide range of fields, help guide Brockport in its mission to advance the University through engagement and philanthropy.
