Churchville-Chili Middle School teacher awarded Golden Apple
Kayla Hare, a world language teacher at Churchville-Chili Middle School, was surprised with the News 8 Golden Apple Award last week.
Mrs. Hare, who also coaches modified girls basketball, was nominated for the award by two former French students, Natalie and Violet, for her teaching and coaching skills. According to Natalie and Violet, Mrs. Hare is welcoming, cares for her students and makes each student feel special.
“Kayla is an asset to our school community, she cares about students, their lives and their learning,” said Middle School Principal Rebecca Tibbitts. “We are so very fortunate to have her at our building!”
Mrs. Hare’s Golden Apple Award presentation will air on Tuesday, December 12 on News 8 between 5:30 and 6 p.m. and will air again during the sunrise show on Wednesday, December 13.
