Enrollment continues to rise at SUNY Brockport
The spring semester has begun at SUNY Brockport and the university continues to see a spike in its enrollment. Brockport’s overall enrollment totaled 6,567 when the semester began on Januay 29. This is an increase of 591 students (roughly 10 percent) from the start of the Spring 2023 semester.
Brockport’s undergraduate student enrollment has increased by 7.5 percent compared to last spring, due to increased first-time, transfer, and continuing student counts. This includes 30 new international students. Brockport also welcomed 221 new graduate students this semester, putting graduate student enrollment at a five-year high of 1,549 – an increase of 18.6 percent from last spring.
“We are so pleased that more and more students are realizing that SUNY Brockport offers an outstanding, affordable education – one that will put them in a position to achieve their career and life goals,” said SUNY Brockport President Heidi Macpherson. “The enrollment increases we are seeing in our undergraduate, graduate and international student populations are a testament to the hard work and dedication of our tremendously talented faculty and staff.”
