Maple SugarFest returns to Spencerport March 2

Spencerport CSD’s 2024 Maple SugarFest will be held on Saturday, March 2, from 9 a.m. to noon.
Last held in 2020, the event is hosted by the Spencerport Nature Center Committee and includes a mixture of indoor and outdoor activities such as a pancake breakfast, free crafts and activities for children, create-your-own bird feeder, geocaching, nature-touch table, sap boiling and tree-tapping demonstrations, and much more.

The pancake breakfast runs from 9 to10:30 a.m. at the High School’s east cafeteria. Cost of the breakfast will be $7 per person and free for children age five and under. Tickets will be sold at the door and donations are welcomed. Real maple syrup will be available as long as supplies last.

Proceeds from the pancake breakfast, along with donations, fund the Nature Center’s DEC Summer Camp Scholarship program and the instructional pavilion. Since the scholarship was first offered in 2015, ten Spencerport CSD students have been funded to attend these camps.

More information and an event schedule for the Maple SugarFest can be found on the Nature Center webpage found under the Parents & Community dropdown menu on the district website, https://www.
