Hilton wrestler Brooklynn Fitzgerald (114 lb.) competed in the 2025 Penfield Girls Varsity “Blizzard Bash” Freestyle Tournament and emerged from a 16-woman field as champion. She cruised through her first three matches, with a 10-0 tech, 0:47 fall, and another 10-0 tech to advance to the finals. Brooklynn met a formidable foe in Lauren Mahon (Corning – IV) and was down 6-2 in the second but battled back to a 6-6 score and forced a caution against her opponent for the 6-6 decision victory.
