Spencerport will host the 48th annual Teike-Bernabi Wrestling Tournament sponsored by the Spencerport Rotary Club on Friday and Saturday, December 27 and 28, at the Spencerport High School East Gym. Teams from New York, including state ranked teams from Shenendehowa (Section 2), Johnson City (Section 4) and Lancaster (Section 6) as well as host Spencerport, are entered.
Also scheduled to participate are teams from Sections 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. Preliminaries will start on Friday at 9 a.m. Wrestling will begin again on Saturday at 9 a.m. with Semifinals slated for 2 p.m. and the Finalist ceremony at 5:45 p.m. followed by the Championship Finals at 6 p.m.
Ticket prices are $2 all day for Friday and for the first session Saturday and $3 for the Finals on Saturday.
The following schools, along with host Spencerport, are scheduled to wrestle: Carthage (Section 3), Cheektowaga (Section 6), Clarence (Section 6), Gates Chili (Section 5), Iroquois (Section 6), Johnson City (Section 4), Lancaster (Section 6), Lockport (Section 6), Pittsford (Section 5), Rush Henrietta (Section 5), St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute (Section 6), Shenendehowa (Section 2).
