Row For Hope team raising funds for Hope Lodge
Area residents Liam Martin and Evan Manfreda- Schultz are part of an 18 member team (two eight-person boats and two coxswains) from McQuaid Jesuit High School that will row from Buffalo to Albany on an eight-day journey to raise funds for Hope Lodge and the American Cancer Society. Hope Lodge is a facility similar in scope to the Ronald McDonald House.
It’s expected the team will be rowing through Brockport and Spencerport Tuesday, June 24 in the early morning.
The Row For Hope, 340 miles on the Erie Canal, is hosted by the crew program at McQuaid Jesuit High School and organized by the McQuaid student-athletes, with support from coaches and families. A goal of $25,000 has been set for the fundraiser. For information and to follow the team’s progress, visit: http://www.rowforhope.net/or on Facebook: McQRowForHope.
