Spencerport will host the 49th Annual Teike Bernabi Wrestling Tournament sponsored by the Spencerport Rotary Club on Monday and Tuesday, December 29 and 30, 2014 at the Spencerport High School East Gym. Teams from New York, including state ranked teams from Shenendehowa (Section 2), Johnson City (Section 4) and Lancaster (Section 6) as well as host Spencerport are entered.
Also scheduled to participate are teams from Sections 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. Preliminaries will start on Monday at 9 a.m. Wrestling will begin again on Tuesday at 9 a.m. with Semifinals slated for 2 p.m. and the Finalist ceremony at 5:45 p.m. followed by the Championship Finals at 6 p.m. Ticket prices are $2.00 all day for Monday and for the first session Tuesday and $3 for the Finals on Tuesday.
The following schools, along with host Spencerport, are scheduled to wrestle: Carthage (Section 3), Cheektowaga (Section 6), Clarence (Section 6), Gates Chili (Section 5), Greece Storm (Section 5), Iroquois (Section 6), Irondequoit (Section 5), Johnson City (Section 4), Lancaster (Section 6), Lockport (Section 6), Morrisville Eaton (Section 3), Newark (Section 5), Niagara Falls High School (Section 6), Niagara Falls, Wheatfield (Section 6), Pittsford (Section 5), Rush Henrietta (Section 5), St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute (Section 6), Shenendehowa (Section 2).
