Jason Day named Hickok Belt® Award winner for March 2016

Professional golfer Jason Day has been named the Hickok Belt® Award winner for the month of March 2016. A select panel of members of the National Sports Media Association (NSMA) conducted the voting. The voters selected Day based on his wins at both the Arnold Palmer Invitational and the WGC-Dell Match Play tournaments.

Other finalists for the month of March in order of how the NSMA voters ranked them included: Alex Morgan (soccer), Brian Elliott (hockey), Lucas Browne (boxing), Jenn Suhr (track & field), Dallas Seavey (dog sled racing), California Chrome / Victor Espinoza (horse racing), Jamie Benn (hockey), DeMarcus Cousins (basketball), and James Harden (basketball).

His selection as the Hickok Belt® Award winner for the month of March 2016 recognizes Day as “the best of the best” in professional sports for the month and makes him the third candidate eligible to receive the overall Hickok Belt® Award for 2016, joining Novak Djokovic and Steph Curry.
