Bees sweep Pembroke again
Byron-Bergen’s boys’ tennis team started the season 0-4, but have rebounded to win four of their last five matches including a pair of sweeps over Pembroke.
In the latest, number one singles Matt Foeller won 7-6, 6-3, second singles Lucas Stucchio had little trouble in his 6-2, 6-1 win and third singles Brandon Reiner also won 7-6, 6-2.
The top doubles team of Tyler Kota and Colby Savage made quick work of their opponent in a 6-0, 6-3 win while second doubles Isaac Ladley and Hunter Leach took three sets to take a 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 decision.
In addition to the two victories over Pembroke, the Bees also defeated Elba and Kendall – both by 3-2 scores in the current streak.
