Saints, Cadets swimmers win big

Emily Regelsberger and Delaney Emerson each had two individual wins as Churchville-Chili defeated Newark 112-71 in girls’ swimming while Hilton also dominated their win against Greece.

Regelsberger won the 200-individual medley almost 30 seconds ahead of second place with a winning time of 2:22.29 and the 100-backstroke in 1:09.86. With Emily Brockman, Ashley Ali and Molly Alessi, she helped win the meet-opening 200-medley relay in 2:12.71.

Emerson took the 200-freestyle in 2:13.25 and the 100-breaststroke in 1:24.20.

The Saints Abigail Sauer touched first in the 100-butterfly in 1:11.95, Isabella Krzes won the 100-freestyle in 1:03.85 and Ali was first in the 500-freestyle in 6:00.88.

The 200-freestyle relay team of Sauer, sophomore Kaitlyn O’Mealia, Brockman and Krzes also won with a time of 1:58.09.

For the Cadets, Bailey Klafehn had a pair of individual wins and the Cadets swam the final three events exhibition in their 94-58 win over Greece.

Klafehn easily won both the 200-freestyle and 100-butterfly in 1:57.99 and 1:01.82 respectively.

Kathryn Batz finished first in the 200-individual medley in 2:25.67, Haylee Roth to 50-freestyle in :28.42, Elizabeth Kidder the 100-freestyle in :58.49 and Rachel Knittel the 500-freestyle in 6:18.32.

The 200-medley relay team of Batz, Knittel, Emma Doughty and Kidder took first in 2:06.31 and the 200-freestyle relay team of Jennifer Donatella, Roth, Doughty and Alexis Hill won in 1:57.29.
